According to Alan Pardew, Sean Dyche became “absolutely crazy” on the Old Trafford touchline when Everton lost despite having “such a great” start.

After Manchester United scored against the run of play on a penalty kick by Bruno Fernandes after James Tarkowski fouled Alejandro Garnacho,

the former Premier League manager responded in real time on talkSPORT, which airs on the station’s website on March 9.

Pardew believed that even though his team started stronger,

the Toffees manager must have been incensed that his team let up a “sloppy” spot kick.

Sean Dyche is going completely crazy down there about something, according to Pardew.

I’m not sure what exactly is upsetting him, but he must be angry because his side had such a strong start.

I suppose he finds it hard to believe that they are now behind 1-0 after such a careless penalty.

“This game feels like it could end in a ton of goals—there are so many opportunities!”

At Old Trafford, Everton shot themselves in the foot, infuriating Sean Dyche.

If Dyche had been upset at giving Erik ten Hag‘s struggling United team the advantage,

he would have been furious when Ben Godfrey pulled off the same move halfway through the half.

The Toffees dominated play for the first forty-five minutes at Old Trafford,

but they were unable to capitalize on their opportunities, thus they were left with nothing.
And with just star player Jarrad Branthwaite and Jordan Pickford holding it together at the back,

their teammates were left at the foot of a mountain to climb after two instances of clumsy defense from Tarkowski and Godfrey that resulted in two rather obvious penalties.

The season as a supporter of Everton was summed up in a half, as was anything good,

and there was plenty of it, with Dwight McNeil looking particularly sharp, completely wasted by the typical mix of misfortune and self-loathing.

While there was much to be happy about the performance overall,

Dyche would have found it difficult to concentrate on that given the damage done, the dismal 2-0 result,

and the lost opportunity against weak opponents.
