A young fan who passed away in Lisbon during Thursday’s Rangers Europa League match has been remembered.

On March 7, Thomas McAllister, a resident of the Drumchapel neighborhood of the city, tragically died in the Portuguese capital while

traveling with friends to watch the Ibrox team draw 2-2 with Benfica.

Online condolences to the ‘cheeky’ figure have been offered by friends, expressing how much everyone will miss him.

The 25-year-old’s death’s circumstances are yet unknown. Rangers paid respect to the incident and said they are in communication

with Portuguese and British authorities regarding it in a statement they made earlier today.

“On behalf of the club, I want to pass on my sincere condolences to Thomas’ loved ones, family, and friends,” said Rangers CEO James

Bisgrove. Everyone at the club has been deeply affected by this news, and I’m sure that all of our supporters will too. There’s no reason

why somebody would attend a football game and then stay home.

In the upcoming days and weeks, the club is prepared to help Thomas’ family in any way we can.

The ‘one of a kind’ father, known to friends as Tam, has received tributes.

“A cheeky, funny, amazing character,” one person said. What a cute boy Tam. I shall really miss you, friend.”

Andy McInnes remarked, “May Tam find peace. An another Drum kid lost too young.” “RIP Thomas McAllister,” Chris Forbes remarked. Such awful information.

Nicole Fullerton talked about her sadness as well as how his mother and children will receive support from loved ones.

She said: “You’ve left us all heartbroken Thomas McAllister still can’t come to terms with this news. Watching you grow from that tiny

beautiful blonde haired boy to such an amazing daddy to your beautiful kids you made us all proud Tommy tuck

This one is challenging. We will need to support your mother and your lovely children as a family, and we also lost another young life

far too soon as a community. I’m going to miss your enormous laugh and smile, so go to sleep.

I hope you’re up there with Ricky and your dad, who both adore you.

“No fan should attend a game and not return home,” another person said.

A third remarked, “Life isn’t fair at all. Tam, you are unique, so rest easy.
