Rangers star part of momentous Man Utd transfer plan

Even if he’s improved since leaving Rangers, Amad Diallo doesn’t seem to have much of a future with Manchester United.

The winger was on loan at Ibrox for the second half of the 2021–2022 season. He brought a lot of buzz to the Giovanni van Bronckhorst era when he made a big-budget Serie A trade from Atalanta to the Red Devils. Even though he only played 13 games and scored three goals, he still has great recollections of his time in Glasgow.

After moving to Sunderland, Diallo emerged as a fan favorite in the previous campaign. The Manchester Evening News chief sports writer Samuel Luckhurst has listed the former Rangers player as one of a startling 21 players who may quit Manchester United this summer. Black Cats supporters have been aching for his homecoming.

The following brief description appears: “Since he returned from a knee injury in late December, the winger has only been able to make three substitute appearances. Amad might as well pack his luggage if Ten Hag has support.”

The winger played for Glasgow during his time there and was a member of the team that qualified for the Europa League final in Seville just under two years ago. After Rangers’ victory against Hearts at Hampden gained the only trophy of the van Bronckhorst period, he went on to collect a Scottish Cup winners medal.
