Despite links to Rangers, Tommy Conway, a striker for Bristol City, is determined to play in the Premier League.

The 21-year-old Scotland youth international has also drawn comparisons between himself and England and Aston Villa striker Ollie

Watkins.

Tommy Conway gained notoriety early in the campaign when he won the FA Cup third-round match against Premier League side West

Ham.

Rangers, a number of Premier League teams, and Old Firm rivals Celtic were all listed as possible suitors for the player who has been

mooted for a call-up to Steve Clarke’s Scotland squad.

However, the Bristol City star’s most recent remarks may disappoint any Ibrox supporters who had become enthusiastic at the idea

Rangers could make a move for Tommy Conway.

Conway, a striker who graduated from Ashton Gate Academy and is currently playing in the Championship with the Robins, hopes to

play in the Premier League one day.

It coincides with connections to Wolverhampton Wanderers, Brentford, and Nottingham Forest in the English Premier League.

Tommy Conway told Sky Sports, “The Premier League is the pinnacle of league football, the pinnacle of world football.”

“Players who are based overseas and who have been playing since they were little have always dreamed of this.

It’s the only league you watch, so clearly the goal is to play in the Premier League someday.

“Perhaps that will occur with Bristol City eventually, and if not, I can personally attend as well.”
