Anthony Davis Dislikes Darvin Ham’s Strategy Following the Lakers’ Setback

The pain of defeat frequently draws attention to errors, and the Los Angeles Lakers committed numerous ones during their March 6 loss to the Sacramento Kings.

LeBron James of the Lakers cited a variety of important elements, including Anthony Davis’ early second foul in the first quarter, former teammate Malik Monk, and Kings standout De’Aaron Fox having the Lakers’ number.

While acknowledging that the foul was questionable, Davis also brought up a more alarming matter.

“We needed that game,” the player said. With all of our force, we emerged onto the floor. The game was then controlled by the second quarter. De’Aaron Fox and Malik Monk were able to grab anything they wanted, including living up in the paint, because of some defensive lapses on our part. [Domantas] Sabonis is wide open if I go help.

“They successfully manipulated our actions.”

According to Davis, the foul calls were dubious. “Playing when in foul trouble is difficult. Avoid selecting any inexpensive ones. But, yes, our defense is a different unit when I’m on the floor.

Darvin Ham, the head coach, has drawn criticism for not making modifications during games. Although Davis refrained from criticizing his coach explicitly and did not state whether contesting the call would have changed the outcome, it was evident that he was unhappy with the gameplan and/or the lack of changes.
