Dalton Schultz finally took advantage of free agency after spending five successful seasons with the Cowboys, landing with the

Houston Texans. With rookie sensation C.J. Stroud as his partner, the former fourth-round pick has one of his best seasons to date.

Schultz played in fifteen games and ended the campaign with five touchdowns and sixty-nine receptions for 635 yards. Houston made

it all the way to the AFC Divisional Round before losing to the Baltimore Ravens, which helped the team snap its postseason drought.

In the 2018 NFL Draft, Dalton Schultz was selected as a fourth-round choice to start his career. The Stanford graduate was chosen by

the Dallas Cowboys and played blocker for the most of his rookie campaign. Schultz made only 12 receptions for 116 yards on 17

targets in his 11 games of action. In 2019, he played in 16 games and had just one reception for two yards. His usage was comparable.

In 2020, Schultz experienced his major breakthrough at last. The backup tight end filled in for Blake Jarwin, who was injured, and

never gave up the starting spot. The tight end made 16 appearances, 14 of which were starts, and hauled in 63 passes for 615 yards and

four touchdowns. In 2021, Dalton Schultz demonstrated that this was no isolated incident.
