John McGinn makes Aston Villa transfer exit revelation

John McGinn has shared how Unai Emery combed through the midfielder’s Hibs numbers and more to find his best Aston Villa form.

He then inquired as to my ideal position, to which I simply replied, “Not on the bench.” He then mentioned the Scotland goals, which made me think that he was trying to figure out why I hadn’t been playing so well.

“Why are you scoring for Scotland rather than Aston Villa with this? Perhaps as a token of appreciation for moving me up the field, Steve Clarke should know that I am a right-wing, right-10 player who plays here for Scotland, something I had never done before.

Steve Clarke began to exhibit some faith, and I began to achieve certain goals. From there, he said, “You might play, you might not,” prior to our match against Manchester United. The following game, I was benched! I turned on and launched the subsequent game. I’ve played much of the game since then, and it’s been enjoyable.”
