Confirmed Deal: Celtic have defeated Rangers by capturing FC Twente left-back on a free transfer.

According to 1908.nl, Brendan Rodgers’ side is one of the clubs interested in signing the defender when his contract expires.

They say that the 26-year-old is ready for the next step in his career and is in high demand,

with Celtic’s rivals Rangers also interested in the January transfer window.

They need to sell Borna Barišić or Ridvan Yilmaz first, but Celtic has showed interest and already told him ‘what they can offer’.

It is unclear whether they were successful in convincing him that Celtic Park should be his home,
