Rangers news: Gers confirm new major shareholder

Perron Investments LLC has been officially acknowledged by Rangers as a new major shareholder of Rangers International Football

Club PLC.

Perron Investments has joined a list of stockholders that includes New Oasis Asset Limited, Douglas Park, Stuart Gibson, and others,

according to an update on the RIFC web page.

The website verifies that Perron Investments currently holds 16.25 million shares, or 4.16 percent, of the Premiership winners.

Additionally, it states that “John Halsted has advised that the shares held by Perron Investments LLC are his beneficial ownership.”

   Who is John Halstead?

In addition to becoming the head of the global equity firm Pamplona Capital, he graduated from Harvard with a Master of Business

Administration.

Based in New York, Wall Mine states that Pamplona Capital oversees regulatory assets valued at $10.27 billion (£7.37 billion).

Halstead appears to be someone we can trust to be connected with our historic club and is someone who isn’t afraid of big

numbers.Rangers are issuing 2.15 million additional shares at a price of 20 pence apiece, according to a Companies House document

that was leaked on Twitter earlier this week by football finance specialist Kieran Maguire.

He wasn’t sure what it would entail for the Rangers, but that, together with the announcement that Perron Investments would be

joining the Gers’ parent company as a shareholder, implies significant changes are happening behind the scenes at Ibrox.

We are aware that despite the team’s significant improvement, the club needs to attempt to balance the books in order to make up for

a significant deficit in recent years.
