According to John Walker, the Rangers must sign Connor Barron from a “astonishing” Aberdeen team to replace Ryan Jack.

The UEFA coaching candidate examined the midfielder’s statistics on Twitter on March 4 and claimed that, although only falling short

of the Belgian in tackle percentage, he outperforms Jack, John Lundstram, Nico Raskin, and Dujon Sterling in terms of winning

ground and aerial duels.

James Bisgrove, Philippe Clement, and Nils Koppen are urged to go before the summer transfer window as the 21-year-old is expected

to be a cost-effective choice since he would just need a development fee once his contract is up.

“Come on, Nils, Big Phil & Bisgrove… let’s sort this one out!” Walker wrote. He is still among the top players available in an

astonishing Aberdeen lineup: £400–500k for the development fee. £5-8k per week in wages.

“That’s all it would take to have a pretty “Like for Like” Ryan Jack replacement sorted for the Summer.

“Barron’s passing stats have dropped dramatically since Warnock has come but

the context of Aberdeen not keeping the ball is an issue.

“At Rangers, he would be so comfortable in every aspect of our style with and without the ball.”

Ahmed Diomande has already made a substantial contribution to the midfield, but with Raskin’s form currently suffering and

Lundstram’s contact discussions still unresolved, there may be movement in the coming months.

There is perhaps room for additions because Jose Cifuentes, who was thought to be a long-term fixture, only survived half a season at

Ibrox and is not expected to return after a lengthy loan at Cruzeiro.

Lennon Miller, a young sensation from Motherwell, has previously been mentioned as a potential Rangers target. However, at just 17

years old, he is still maturing there and might be better off remaining there for the time being.
