Two years ago, the Philadelphia Eagles boasted one of the league’s top defenses, but several of those players are no longer in town.

Interestingly, they might soon lose another star.

They have given Haason Reddick permission to look for a trade, according to sources.

The elite pass rusher is attempting to secure a new deal, and other teams may be interested in hiring him.

Reddick, a Temple graduate from New Jersey, said he was hoping to play for the team and represent his hometown for the remainder of his career, but that might not be the case.

In light of this, Tony Pauline, an NFL Draft analyst, writes that DeMeco Ryans and

the Houston Texans are monitoring his status (via Dov Kleiman).

Reddick is expected to earn $15 million this season,

which is a great deal for a player of his quality, according to Over The Cap.

His trade value may decrease daily as the NFL Draft draws nearer,

even if the Eagles are allegedly seeking a high draft selection for his contract.

 

The Texans were among the league’s most improved teams the previous season,

so DeMeco Ryans’ squad could benefit greatly from adding a seasoned veteran to their defensive line.
