The Colombian journalist said on his personal Twitter account (5 March) that the loanee will require surgery and will spend all of his recuperation with Rangers despite the fact that he is still technically a Lens player.

Philippe Clement disclosed that the 20-year-old suffered a “serious injury” before the 2-1 loss to Motherwell, and he is now expected to be out until mid-May as a result.

“Óscar Cortés (20) suffered a muscle injury in his posterior and will undergo a surgical procedure that will leave him off the field for about 2 months,” he said in a statement.

“Although the Colombian still belongs to Lens, all process will be supervised by Rangers.”
