Bronny James’s selection in the 2024 NBA Draft will depend on his team, not his position.

Bronny James, a freshman at USC, is still undecided about the 2024 NBA Draft.

LeBron James’ agent and CEO of Klutch Sports, Rich Paul,

provided information this week regarding the factor

that will ultimately determine that decision later this spring:

team selection as opposed to draft position. Bronny James,

a four-star combo guard who is ranked as the 26th pick in the NBA Draft,

is still in the early phases of his career and, should he decide to go the one-and-done path,

does not project as a lottery selection in 2024.

As a freshman at USC, he averaged 5.0 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game. He shoots 37% from the field,

suggesting that he hasn’t yet found his offensive comfort zone.

Paul said to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski over the weekend,

“I value a young player getting into the lottery as much as I do getting him on

the right team in the right developmental situation.”

Paul stated that “Bronny wants to be his own man”

and that he is not interested in following in his father’s footsteps or,

contrary to popular belief,

wanting to play for the Los Angeles Lakers should his father decide to stay in the area.

Although he won’t sway his son’s choice,

LeBron James stated last month that he would like playing with him in the NBA.

“He has the last say. Before this year’s NBA All-Star Game,

James said on TNT’s Inside the NBA,

“It’s up to the kid.” “We will undoubtedly go through

the entire procedure. He’s currently in the midst of his season,

and the Pac-12 tournament is soon.

We will consider our alternatives and allow the child to make the final decision.”

I’ve “got to be on the floor with Bronny” before my career ends,

LeBron James said to ESPN’s Dave McMenamin last year.

“Either in the same uniform or a matchup against him,” James stated.

“I don’t mean like [guarding each other the entire game]—because I’m a center right now and he’s a point guard.

I just mean whatever the team needs from me.

” But doing the whole Ken Griffey Jr. and Sr. thing would be my dream. Undoubtedly, that would be perfect.”

A franchise may have believed it has an opportunity to sign LeBron James in free agency

if Bronny James declares for the draft and is chosen.

Last year, Adam Finkelstein, Director of Scouting at 247Sports, stated,

“His NBA upside, based solely on his own merit as a prospect, is much less clear.”

“How much his father links Bronny’s whereabouts to

the conclusion of his career will determine his NBA forecast.

There is hardly any history of a 6-foot-3 combo-guard who isn’t a spectacular

playmaker getting selected in the first round, let alone the lottery.”
