Report: Steelers interested in trading for Chiefs CB $1.5 million worth player
The Pittsburgh Steelers are in the market for a cornerback. So much so that it is possible they will address the
position in the first round of the NFL draft. However, if their wishes are granted, this may be unnecessary.
According to Nick Farabaugh of Steelers Now, the Steelers want to trade for Kansas City Chiefs standout cornerback
The Pittsburgh Steelers are interested in Kansas City Chiefs cornerback L’Jarius Sneed, according to a league source
in Indianapolis. Pittsburgh believes it has to upgrade its cornerback room, and Sneed is one of the main candidates.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network and Dianna Russini of The Athletic, the Chiefs are asking for at least a
second-round selection, and sources verified this to Steelers Now. Kansas City has informed Sneed that they will
franchise tag him unless the parties can reach an agreement on a long-term contract. If the Chiefs are unable to sign
Sneed, they plan to tag and trade him, according to Jordan Schultz of Bleacher-Report.- Nick Farabaugh, Steelers
Now.
Should the Chiefs simply want a second-round selection in exchange for Sneed’s services, other teams will call.
Even if Pittsburgh needs to include a day-three pick or a player to sweeten the deal, a cornerback combo of Sneed
and Joey Porter Jr. would immediately become the best in the NFL.
Sneed allowed only a 55.9 quarterback rating when targeted in 2023, while recording two interceptions to help
Kansas City win their second straight Super Bowl.
