Rangers keen to replace captain with €15m Englishman-report
Former Rangers star Kenny Miller has insisted that Jack Butland is playing in multiple competitions this season compared to some of the other England goalkeepers, who are not getting regular game time.
Since joining Rangers on a free transfer last summer,
Butland has excelled and established himself as Scotland’s best goalkeeper.
There are rumors that he will probably be included in the England team for the international friendlies against Brazil and Belgium that take place next month.
He might even be considered for the European Championship.
Although Butland has nine caps for his country, he hasn’t been a member of the England team since 2018.
Miller stated that he believes several of his rivals are now not receiving playing time,
therefore he believes it would be a well-deserved reward if he is included to the squad next month.
“Some of the England goalkeepers don’t get much playing time,
and Jack Butland wouldn’t be worse than any of them, in my opinion.
“You are playing in Europe where you are showing off your skills during a season where you are fighting on many fronts for a big club.”
This season, Butland has now made 43 appearances across all competitions, recording 23 clean sheets.
McCulloch emphasized that Rangers had achieved a significant victory and cited their victories over the two league-leading teams in their previous two league contests.
He emphasized that the Rangers needed to maintain their composure and not lose heart,
as they could have easily buckled under the weight of the title chase.
