Finish the task! Brendan Rodgers declares Celtic title charge start now as Giddy boss roars.

Celtic have the chance to go top of the Scottish Premiership after Rangers slipped to a shock 2-1 defeat at home to Motherwell on Saturday afternoon.

In just nine minutes of play at Ibrox, Theo Bair gave the Steelmen the perfect start as he coolly slotted past goalkeeper Jack Butland after receiving a pass from Jack Vale.

Rangers had opportunities in the first half,Celtic FC v Dundee FC - Cinch Scottish Premiership

but they trailed at the half and had a lot of work ahead of them in the second forty-five minutes.

The team led by Philippe Clement appeared to be back in charge when James Tavernier scored a penalty kick to tie the game.

But Motherwell fought back and kept posing a threat;

eventually, a header from Dan Casey that escaped Butland in the back post gave them the advantage.

It’s amazing to say that this is the Fir Park team’s first league win at Ibrox in 27 years.

Celtic has a great chance to seize control.
Celtic already know they will move one point clear of the Ibrox opponents and reclaim the top spot in the

league table if they defeat Hearts at Tynecastle on Sunday afternoon.

Of course, that’s not a guarantee. Throughout the season,

the Bhoys have shown up and then gone out. As is well known,

Hearts defeated Celtic 2-0 during their previous meeting in December.

But following a week of encouragement,

expectations will be high for Brendan Rodgers’ team to win big in the nation’s capital.

Steven Naismith’s squad was thrashed 4-1 at Tynecastle back in October thanks to goals from four different scorers.

Celtic has been given this opportunity, and it has to be seized.

After a challenging stretch, it would give the Bhoys the upper hand in the title chase and set up the next nine games well.

Finish the task!
