Everton: ‘Fascinating’ 777 Partners development emerges, it could impact Goodison Park takeover

The Esk has responded to a “fascinating” development regarding 777 Partners that could have an impact on the takeover situation at Everton.

The financial expert was reacting to statements made during this week’s A-Cap webinar by Kenneth King,

in which 777 was told that its exposure will be eliminated in 60 days.

King has lent $777 million through a network of investment and insurance companies.

But now that we have this update, that is anticipated to alter.Everton: 'Fascinating' 777 Partners development emerges, it could impact Goodison Park takeover

The Esk posted on his own Twitter page [March 2] after fully transcribing King’s statements for theesk.

org, saying, “This portion of King’s responses is fascinating.”

“As far as I’m aware, 777 or 777 Re don’t own $1 billion (£790.1 million) in cash.

Even if they did, how would that affect their cash-strapped companies? More importantly,

how would they pay for Everton’s acquisition and cap requirements?”The Everton acquisition by 777 Partners is still ongoing.
There seem to be more questions about 777 Partners and their specific financing plan for this purchase with every week that goes by.

This is not an easy acquisition. For example,

it’s not just one billionaire demonstrating their willingness and ability to invest millions of dollars in the club.

Issues like these that would typically go unnoticed are now squarely in the public view,

thanks to The Esk. And with good reason—Everton is being directly impacted by this.

What really has to be understood is why Farhad Moshiri is so adamant about selling up to 777.

And are there any other choices available currently in case this specific takeover fails?

It’s a really complicated scenario, and it might get even more muddled before we know for sure who will actually buy out Moshiri.
