After meeting with the team, Caleb Williams comments on the Chicago Bears draft selection.

Caleb Williams, the electric quarterback coming out of USC,

has told the Chicago Bears he would love to be their No. 1 pick.

And he’s confident he’ll be chosen first on April 25. He said at the Scouting Combine:

“It’s not a thought in my mind. I don’t think that I’m not going to be number one. I think I put in all the hard work, all of the time,

effort, energy into being that. I don’t think of a Plan B. That’s kind of how I do things in my life. I don’t think of a Plan B,

stay on Plan A and then when things don’t work out, find a way to make Plan A work.”

This week in Indianapolis, Williams has already had a conversation with the Bears.

As predicted, Chicago was excited to hear from the former Heisman Trophy winner.

Rookie aspirants have the opportunity to speak with organizations for the first time and demonstrate their abilities.

At the moment, Justin Fields is the quarterback for the Bears.

Many supporters believed he would be the solution to years of mediocre to subpar quarterback performance.

In his first three years, Fields has occasionally performed well but hasn’t always lived up to the hype. In addition, he has suffered injuries. There are many who speculate that he might be traded so the Bears can immediately start Williams.

Williams made it plain when he said,

“No,” when asked whether he felt under pressure to be the Bears

‘ best quarterback candidate and a possible No. 1 choice.

Not at all. I don’t evaluate myself against the other males present or past.

I believe I play by myself. Generally speaking, I enjoy creating

Williams tweeted his excitement earlier this week about perhaps

being selected by the Bears in the first round of the draft.
