Rangers rejected two huge offers for star worth £77m from Champions League rival

Rangers rejected two huge offers for star worth £77m from Champions League rival

Self-confessed Rangers fan Neil Warnock has hauled Aberdeen into a Scottish Premiership relegation battle, according to former Ibrox winger Neil McCann.

In his first role in Scottish football, the 75-year-old English Football League manager has yet to win a Scottish Premiership at Pittodrie.

The appointment attracted a great deal of attention from the media both north and south of the border,

and Neil Warnock has frequently asked to be given the chance to manage in Scotland.

However, Neil Warnock has further degraded Rangers’ northeast opponents since taking over for Barry Robson at Aberdeen, so unsurprisingly, there is little sympathy at Ibrox.

Neil Warnock has candidates for Aberdeen’s relegation.

Speaking on BBC Sportscene following Aberdeen’s 2-0 home loss to St Johnstone under Neil Warnock, Neil McCann believes the Dons are fighting for relegation this year.

As a result, Aberdeen, in ninth place, is now tied for 10th place with St Johnstone,

and four points ahead of Ross County, in 11th place and a relegation playoff spot.

As things stand, David Martindale’s team is seven points outside of the automatic relegation spot in 12th place,

meaning that Livingston is virtually definitely going down.

McCann believes that the Dons may be on the verge of collapse unless their play improves.

And we’re ready for it right now.

Neil McCann stated, “They absolutely are for that playoff spot.” They have it right.

Fans of Aberdeen are aware of this. Neil Warnock has visited here and made a few remarks about how Aberdeen isn’t a place to have fun.

“The supporters recognize that you’re not performing well or winning games;

instead, they’re switching around players and lineups.

“They have to get results soon because that is beginning to come together and get closer,

and when you’re having a bad run, you’re right in the mix for a postseason spot.”

No pity for Rangers from the Scottish Premiership
Naturally, Rangers supporters won’t be overly concerned about Aberdeen’s promotion to the Scottish Championship.

Additionally, the fact that their manager, Neil Warnock,

is a man who previously identified as a Rangers supporter and hyped up the Dunoon RSC prior to a recent Aberdeen loss at Ibrox, has heightened the titters.

The Dons are among the most expensively assembled teams in Scottish football,

yet they struggle on the field; in the past, the team has been accused of only playing at a higher level while against Rangers.

The Gers have surprisingly dropped five points from nine games against the Dons this season, and one of their three victories at Pittodrie came against Rangers.

Rangers will likely avoid a difficult trip to Pittodrie with their split,

and if things go south up north, there will be even more reason to celebrate. With the club virtually probably bound for the bottom six.
