We’re delighted to welcome football finance expert Dr Daniel Plumley as our exclusive columnist.
Each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at celtic...
After meeting with the SFA and Police Scotland,

The financial expert acknowledged that infractions could eventually result in a point penalty,
with the early penalties intended to have a negative financial impact on the team.
The hoops club acknowledged that they might be punished in an official statement released on December 3 following a meeting with the SFA and Police Scotland.
The team’s finances were supposed to suffer as a result of the early fines,
but the financial expert agreed that violations might ultimately result in a point penalty.
“If this continued, you would be anticipating fines at the absolute least.
However, you might also be talking about point deductions,
and discussions about how to stop this kind of thing have taken place.
“In the end, the supporters suffer more from the points loss than from the financial implications,
so I’m not suggesting it will get to that point, but if it continues, more fines and penalties will come into play.
“The club needs to make that statement public.
If it persists, it will at the very least cost the club financially,
but you don’t want to take the chance of something more serious.”
In other Rangers news,
Plumley has stated that the team might claim they lost out after a transaction worth more than £900 million was approved.
