Tottenham targeting Rangers star in £50m+ summer coup: report
A top EPL team is ready to sign another Ibrox kid on a free transfer.
Brentford is reportedly plotting a second free transfer onslaught on Rangers’ youth.
The Premier League club had already signed Nathan Young-Coombes from the Ibrox youth system.
After leaving Chelsea in 2019, the striker spent time in the Rangers academy before joining Brentford in 2022.
Before joining Brentford, Young-Coombes played consistently for Rangers’ B and youth teams, but he never appeared in the first squad.
The Premier League team is reportedly interested in Rangers’ junior player MacKenzie Strachan.
According to the Daily Record, Brentford are looking into another bid for a Rangers player, with Strachan out of contract in the summer and free to leave Ibrox.
Brentford is apparently interested in adding Strachan to their development group for next season.
Midfielder Strachan, 20, spent the first half of the season on loan at Stranraer before returning to Rangers in January.
It comes as another Auchenhowie youth prospect, James Graham, is poised to leave the club to join Dumbarton on loan.
Graham spent the first half of the season on loan at League One club Annan Athletic,
making 13 appearances before returning to Ibrox last month.
This season, the striker played four Challenge Cup games for Rangers B and scored one goal.
Graham is expected to transfer to Dumbarton to join Stevie Farrell’s team.
