If Adam Idah keeps up his impressive

play, he will permanently join Celtic; but,

Chris Sutton still has an Italian suspicion.

Since moving to Glasgow, the Norwich

City loanee has impressed the hoops

hero. His two Premiership doubles have

been crucial in helping the team defeat

Hibs 2-1 and Motherwell 3-1.His season

long loan agreement, which does not

include a buyout option, was met with

suspicion. The other January addition

was Nicolas Kuhn. The Hoops board is

under fire for failing to support manager

Brendan Rodgers in the midst of an

exciting Premiership title fight with

Rangers.

Sutton, writing in the PinkUn, thinks the

Hoops will relocate permanently if they

maintain their Celtic form, but Italian

interest that surfaced before his

Parkhead arrival might offer other

possibilities. “Adam Idah has settled in at

Celtic like a duck to water, which is

fantastic news for Norwich City,” he

stated. He never headered it quite as he

did against Motherwell, I believe. It

exuded confidence and excellence.

“Although it’s early, he appears to be a

slightly different player at Celtic. It

wouldn’t be accurate to suggest he was

only going through the motions at

Norwich, but there was always a sense

that there was more to be gained.

“I was quite pleased by Idah’s physicality

and how he used his body. He did a good

job holding up the ball and making

defenders bounce off him. His second

finish was outstanding. Though not

simple, this was a significant objective.

“It’s been an incredible start, but they

still have a few games left until the

season ends against Rangers, and that’s

when Celtic players are really evaluated.

“I’m very happy for him. While the goals

themselves are important, their quality is

more crucial. Seeing what transpires at

the end of the season will be fascinating.

“I think he’ll want to stay at Celtic if he

does well there. However, the deal’s lack

of options will keep prospective rival

suitors intrigued. I wouldn’t be shocked if

the Italian teams who showed interest in

making a deal in January came back to

the negotiation table.”
