The Denver Broncos will elevate Jamar Cain to defensive line coach following his 2023 season as the team’s pass rush specialist, as
reported by Bruce Feldman of The Athletic. Since Marcus Dixon departed earlier this month to take a similar position with the
Minnesota Vikings, the post has remained unfilled.
Cain will be coaching for the sixteenth time in the 2024 season. Prior to moving to Wyoming in 2013, he worked as an assistant coach
at Sacramento City College and advanced through smaller colleges including Ohio Missouri State, and Cal Poly.

defensive line coach. The 43-year-old Cain was LSU’s D-line coach before that.Cain’s extensive collegiate background should help him
identify potential players in the defensive linebackers. The Broncos appear to be focused on improving this area during the 2024 NFL
Combine, as it is an area in which they are in dire need of improvement. Coach Cain deserves congratulations on his promotion!
Hopefully, he can contribute to the defensive line’s improved performance in the upcoming campaign.
Following his one-year stint with the Cowboys, he moved full-time to FBS colleges and assisted the North Dakota State Bison in
winning back-to-back National Championships while serving as their defensive ends coach from 2014 to 2016. The Broncos hired him
the previous season. Cain’s extensive collegiate background should help him identify potential players in the defensive linebackers.
The Broncos appear to be focused on improving this area during the 2024 NFL Combine, as it is an area in which they are in dire need
of improvement.
