Aston Villa scouting ‘untouchable’ player as Unai Emery considers transfer decision
The latest on Raoul Bellanova’s transfer comes from Italian media reports, who claim that Aston Villa is considering making a move for the Torino player in the summer transfer window. Bellanova is 23 years old.
Scouts from Aston Villa’s recruitment squad, led by manager Unai Emery, have been watching Raoul Bellanova in anticipation of making an attempt to sign him this summer. Tuttosport, an Italian outlet, has reported as much. The Premier League team was connected to Bellanova’s signing in the January transfer window.
The 23-year-old’s performances with Torino this season have garnered him high praise. Bellanova left Cagliari for Torino last summer after spending time on loan at Serie A powerhouse Inter Milan.
He was capped by Italy at the Under-21 level and came up via Inter’s biggest rivals AC Milan’s academy. But is the adaptable right-sider planning on making another move?
Bellanova was rendered unavailable at that specific moment, according to Tuttomercato, who also mentions mid-season interest from Villa and other possible bidders. Nevertheless, a deal might be finalized this summer. The athlete swiftly rose to prominence with the Italian team, where he was referred to be “untouchable.”
Bellanova has made 27 appearances for Torino so far this season, contributing five assists and one goal. It has been suggested that he may get up to €25 million, which is about three times what Torino spent, in exchange for his talents.
According to the report, Villa is still looking for a new wing-back. Villa is also reportedly considering Denzel Dumfries, a Netherlands international who has been frequently linked to a move to Manchester United in previous years, although Bellanova is reportedly a higher priority.
Dumfries is four years older than Bellanova. It is alleged that his pay pales in comparison to the latter’s income.
