3 free agents on Detroit Lions for the Chicago Bears to sign this offseason
Many of the Chicago Bears’ competitors will be investigated in order to determine who they may sign away in free agency. It is
significant to sign a player from the Detroit Lions because it has the potential to benefit the Bears and harm the Lions simultaneously.
Which Lions players are you thinking Chicago will target this offseason?
Could the Chicago Bears find pass-rush help from the Detroit Lions in free agency?
The Chicago Bears are going to need some help finding edge rushers this offseason, and Detroit has a trio of rushers set to hit free
agency. First is Charles Harris. Harris was a former first-round pick, and while he did not live up to that billing with the team that drafted him, he caught a new life with the Lions.
Harris broke out with 7.5 sacks in 2021, but injuries have held him back, and he has just 2.5 sacks in the past two years. However, he
went from 11 pressures on 152 pass-rush attempts in 2022 to 24 pressures on 199 pass-rush attempts in 2023.
Romeo Okwara is another name to take into account. Although Okwara joined Detroit in 2018, his performance began to suffer in
2021 due to injuries. After posting 61 pressures in 2021, he has only had 38 in the following three seasons. Nevertheless, the 29-year-
old has some potential and would perform better in a comparable role than Rasheem Green. Though Harris is the more well-known
player, both would strengthen the Chicago Bears pass rush in the open market.
