Top EPL club about to snatch another Ibrox youngster on a free transfer
Brentford is apparently planning a second free transfer attack on the Rangers youth.
The Premier League team earlier signed Nathan Young-Coombes from the Ibrox youth system.
The striker joined Brentford in 2022, having spent time in the Rangers academy after leaving Chelsea in 2019.
Young-Coombes played regularly for Rangers B and youth teams but never made a first-team appearance before joining Brentford.
The Premier League club is now said to be interested in Rangers youth player MacKenzie Strachan.
According to the Daily Record, Brentford are considering another move for a Rangers talent, with Strachan out of contract in the summer and free to depart Ibrox.
Brentford are reportedly interested in adding Strachan to their development group for next season.
Midfielder Strachan, 20, spent the first half of the season on loan at Stranraer before returning to Rangers in January.
It comes as another Auchenhowie youth prospect James Graham is expected to depart the club to join Dumbarton on loan.
Graham had spent the first half of the season on loan at League One team Annan Athletic, where he appeared 13 times before returning to Ibrox last month.
This season, the striker appeared in four Challenge Cup games for Rangers B, scoring one goal.
Graham is anticipated to move to Dumbarton to join Stevie Farrell’s side.
