Just In:Rangers roster revealed for Kilmarnock match

It’s heating up at the top, and Clement could reshuffle his forward line to take on Killie tonight.

Leaders Rangers can’t take their foot off the throttle as the Premiership title battle nears its conclusion.

And tonight will be one of the biggest tests of Philippe Clement’s domestic campaign so far, as they travel to Ayrshire to face a Kilmarnock squad that has historically proven tough.

The Belgian manager is well aware that it will be a difficult game, and he believes the synthetic Rugby Park field will serve as an even greater leveller…as if Derek McInnes’ team needed it after defeating both sides of the Old Firm this season.

On the injury front, Gers have Todd Cantwell, Danilo, Kieran Dowell, and Abdallah Sima out, but there are no new concerns. Kemar Roofe, on the other hand, will not start because Clement and his medical staff are unwilling to put him at danger on the Astro.

He stated prior of the game: “The squad is fine.” The only downside is that I can’t include Kemar Roofe in the lineup again due to the surface. So that is a clear indication from my medical staff that it is very unsafe given his injury and the number of injuries.

“In that sense, playing on that type of pitch is a disadvantage. For the time being, the league has decided that playing on those surfaces is still an option. However, this gives an opportunity for another player.

So, a chance for whom? Let us have a look…

predicted Rangers XI

No points for guessing who will start up front in Roofe’s absence after Cyriel Dessers scored twice against Hearts over the weekend.

However, the artificial surface may cause some concern about Tom Lawrence, who might be replaced by Fabio Silva if there are any problems.

Oscar Cortes appears to be starting again, and Ross McCausland could join him in a fresh forward line.
