Brendan Rodgers announce the return of 29 goals striker against Dundee amid looming move to EPL

Brendan Rodgers has offered an update on Liel Abada’s situation at Celtic. Personal issues have kept the attacker out of matchday squads since the win at Easter Road. The Israeli winger is dealing with intense criticism from his countrymen for continuing at Celtic, a team whose supporters have ties to Palestine.

At Tuesday’s media conference, Rodgers was asked if there had been any progress in Abada’s position, with MLS clubs interested in signing him on a loan deal.

“No. There is no news on that. He is still in the same predicament, and it is difficult for him.

“But yeah, we will see if there’s resolution to that.”

Rodgers then refuted reports that Abada might be willing to terminate his contract in order to make a move from Paradise.

“I haven’t heard that, no.”

Since joining Celtic in the summer of 2021, Abada has been a wonderful acquisition, and it appears that we now have the ideal manager in charge of dealing with the current situation. The Celtic manager dealt with the player in the greatest way imaginable, wrapping an arm around him and convincing him that he will not face reaction from fans because of his ethnicity.

Abada is expected to return in December following an injury sustained while on international duty in September. The winger needed surgery and is working his way back from injury.

In 106 games, Abada has 21 assists and 29 goals. The figures are amazing for a kid his age, and there is a sense that he can go even further under Rodgers’ leadership.
