BREAKING NEWS: Rangers could reportedly beat Man City to €200,000 per week midfielder; now Bundesliga medal is in sight

Noah Mbamba was linked to Rangers back in November; nevertheless, he may now be winning a Bundesliga winner’s medal with

Bayer Leverkusen.

The 19-year-old Belgian is a squad member for the German powerhouses, who are maybe on the verge of winning their first

Bundesliga championship in the team’s existence.

To keep Xabi Alonso’s team eight points clear at the top of the table, Noah Mbamba was selected on the bench once more in the victory over Mainz over the weekend.

Bayern Munich’s incredible 11-game winning streak will come to an end if Bayer Leverkusen wins the championship. Bayern Munich

was defeated 3-0 by Bayer earlier in February.

Three Bundesliga outings so far this season have seen Noah Mbamba utilized as a substitute for the

German team during that historic triumph.

Noah Mbamba heading for title with Bayer Leverkusen

Back in January, it was reported that Rangers was in the lead in the competition to sign Noah Mbamba, beating out teams like

Manchester City for the midfield player’s services.

The young Belgian made his football debut under Philippe Clement at Club Brugge, and there is speculation that the Rangers

manager’s influence may facilitate an Ibrox swap.

The midfield player, who is under contract with Bayer Leverkusen until 2028, was recently acquired in the summer of 2023, so we don’t think they’ll be in a rush to sell the young player.

But going by Mbamba’s limited appearances this season, and Bayer Leverkusen’s progress under Xabi Alonso,

perhaps a loan move might tempt Rangers in the summer.

Have Philippe Clement & Rangers moved on?

Ibrox manager Philippe Clement gave 16-year-old Noah Mbamba his debut for a purpose,

though the Belgian had lower hopes at the time.

It’s clear that the midfielder’s philosophy of having to develop “step-by-step” has carried over to his time in Germany.

In 2021, Clement, the previous manager of Club Brugge, observed, “He shows a lot in training every day.”

“Be cautious, he has put in a lot of work. There is still a long way to go. Like Charles De Ketelaere, who ultimately signed a £30 million

contract to join AC Milan, I will handle him similarly. Don’t ask too much of him; instead,

let him develop and provide him playing time. He needs to develop gradually.”

Even though Noah Mbamba has been linked to Rangers, the emergence of one midfield player raises the possibility

that playing time at Ibrox may be limited.

Mohamed Diomande, who was signed during the January transfer window, has excelled at Ibrox,

and his signing raises the possibility that the team has moved on.
