Celtic has finally identify goalkeeper on Joe Hart successor

The Trabzonspor number one looks set to leave the club this summer despite three years remaining on his deal

Celtic are apparently keeping an eye on Ugurcan Cakir as they continue their search for Joe Hart’s replacement.

Parkhead Number 1 Hart revealed last week that he would retire at the end of the season,

leaving Brendan Rodgers in desperate need of a replacement for the upcoming season.

According to rumors in Turkey,

the Scottish Premiership champions sent scouts to recent Trabzonspor games to have a close look at their 27-year-old captain Cakir.

The goalie has been with his present club for 12 years,

but is widely expected to leave this summer for a fresh challenge, despite having three years left on his current contract.

He was crowned the European goalie with the highest save % two years ago and was linked with a move to Southampton last year,

but the deal fell through. The shot-stopper has already been linked with a move to Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund, and is anticipated to cost a high fee.

However, the 26-time Turkey international is thought to be dissatisfied with the club because they are 26 points behind leaders Galatasaray in third place.

According to sources in Turkey, Celtic are looking into his position as they look for a replacement goalkeeper.
