Rangers confirms new Ibrox transfer despite Nottingham Forest interest.

Rangers goalkeeper Jack Butland has claimed that he was never tempted to leave Ibrox during the January transfer

window, despite interest from Premier League clubs.

The Englishman has been in terrific form for Philippe Clement’s side this season, but his success hasn’t gone

unnoticed elsewhere, with Nottingham Forest reportedly keen during the January transfer window.

That bid was promptly rejected by the Light Blues, but Butland has stated that he was hesitant to return to England

due to the relationship he had with the Gers during his time in Glasgow.

As reported by BBC Sport on Monday (26 February), he stated: “None. There’s a vibe and connection here that I

haven’t experienced in a club in a long time. You don’t give it up easy.

“The eight months I’ve spent here have been a particularly memorable era in my career. This is at the top of my

happiness list since it feels like a prize for my dedication and patience.”

Will Jack Butland leave Rangers this summer?

Rangers supporters will breathe a sigh of relief after hearing Butland’s recent revelation, as it appears that the

England international will remain at Ibrox for the foreseeable future.

Butland has improved his goalkeeping since arriving in Glasgow, and he is undoubtedly one of Clement and Michael

Beale’s best players this season, putting in consistently great performances.

A lot can happen in football in a few months, and curiosity will persist if the 30-year-old continues to excel for the

rest of the season, but it doesn’t appear like he’d be looking to go.

Butland’s patience and perseverance will hopefully be rewarded in the coming months, and the Rangers goalkeeper

will be able to collect one or two pieces of silverware.
