TRANSFER WINDOWHITC understands that Celtic wants to buy Caoimhin Kelleher from Liverpool

during the summer transfer season.

Although Joe Hart, a former Manchester City player, is currently Celtic’s top goalkeeper,

he has already declared his retirement at the end of the current campaign.

Celtic want to sign Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher

Furthermore, insiders told HITC that Celtic already knew which way they wanted to go. In the summer of 2024, the reigning Scottish

Premiership champions are eager to sign Caoimhin Kelleher from Liverpool.

Kelleher, a 25-year-old goalkeeper for the Republic of Ireland, has long been coveted by Celtic,

who are greatly impressed. The Hoops want him to take the top spot going forward.

Caoimhin Kelleher is highly rated

In Sunday’s Carabao Cup final between Liverpool and Chelsea, Kelleher was magnificent. His goalkeeping skills impressed Sky Sports

analyst Gary Neville, and teammate Virgil van Dijk called him “world class.”

Alisson is now the first-choice goalkeeper at Anfield, thus the goalie’s performance in Liverpool’s victory against Chelsea only served to

show that he is more than capable of taking on the role of starter.

However, this is not going to happen anytime soon at Anfield.

HITC previously reported this year that Liverpool was considering its possibilities for a number-two replacement in lieu of Kelleher, whom they are prepared to let go.

They will also factor in selling Kelleher as a domestic product when calculating their profit and sustainability.

Celtic has 65 points from 27 games, good for second place in the Scottish Premiership standings right now. Rangers, the Old Firm

opponents and leaders, are two points ahead of Brendan Rodgers’ team. This past weekend, the Hoops prevailed in the league.

With 60 points from 26 games, Liverpool leads the Premier League standings by one point

above second-place and reigning champion Manchester City.
