The Under 18s and Under 21s have had some inconsistent results over the past week,
but there have also been some encouraging indicators.
Lewis Warrington playing for the Under 21s against Nottingham Forest on Monday at Southport was a welcome return at this level of
younger than Garner when he joined the first team. During the current season, he was on loan at Plymouth Argyle in the
Championship. Unfortunately, a knee injury ended that agreement. Warrington, who was hired to compete for their defensive midfield
spot, only made four appearances for The Pilgrims, who were coached by Steven Schumacher, a former Everton junior player. In mid-

Warrington played the whole seventy minutes of the Under 21 match, which is encouraging given the rumors of season-ending
surgery. We can only hope that he is able to return to full match fitness because he is a brave, skilled, aggressive, and self-assured
holding midfielder who still has the potential to be added to the first team group for training. His arrival reduced the Blues’ January
