The outspoken Clyde Superscoreboard commentator has also stated that weekend strikes from Mohamed Diomande, Oscar Cortes, and Fabio Silva “expose” a recent Parkhead statement as “a pile of nonsense”

The comments come after all three of Rangers summer signings scored in the weekend’s 5-0 demolition of Hearts. Upon the release of the club’s annual accounts this week, Celtic chairman Peter Lawwell had also lamented a lack of transfer business and labelled the January window “notoriously difficult”

The pundit claims that the early success of Fabio Silva, Mohamed Diomande, and Oscar Cortes “explodes” Celtic’s recent statement in a damning verdict on our Old Firm rival’s transfer business. “It does explode the theory that you can’t do good business in January,” said Hugh Keevins. “It exposes that theory as a pile of nonsense and, I have to say, the Rangers fans are loving it because it’s in the Celtic statement that you can’t do good business in January.

“So they’ve got three goal scorers today who were all signed in January, so it makes a mockery of Peter Lawwell and his statement.” Later discussing Rangers’ transfer business: “Those who have come in are making Rangers better. “Those who were already there, Philippe Clement has made better. All three have definitely improved the Rangers squad and now it’s about finding the right consistency to go out and make a regular difference to the team. Rangers are in a good place as things stand and – as Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers starts to feel the pressure – the club simply cannot let up in the title race.
