CELTIC CAN SIGN THEIR OWN IVAN TONEY IN UNPLAYABLE 24 GOAL STRIKER

Scottish Premiership victory this season may persuade the Englishman that Ibrox is his best option moving ahead,

and he will play a major role in any potential success that the team achieves once he returns from injury.

Lawrence Shankland’s 50th goal for Hearts, and his 22nd of the season,

gave Kent a sense of déjà vu, as the Tynecastle defender had previously played alongside the £100 million-rated

England international at Peterborough United and now shares a dressing room with arguably Scotland’s most lethal marksman.

Celtic face a Premier League struggle for Lawrence Shankland.

“I’m not sure where we would be without him. Ivan was unreal in Peterborough.

He’s the greatest I’ve ever played with. “I see similarities between him and Shankland,” Kent told the Daily Record.

“I’ve had the privilege of playing with some extremely talented attackers. They have that ruthless streak,

and Lawrence certainly has it. All of his accomplishments start from nothing and leave you wondering, ‘Wow, how did he do that?

“Ivan would do that at Peterborough.”

HITC Football believes that Celtic are great fans of Shankland and considered a transfer in January before going with the more cheap option,

Adam Idah on loan from Norwich City. Numerous clubs south of the border have expressed interest, including

Premier League trio Everton, Crystal Palace, Burnley, and Sheffield United.

While some may question Shankland’s ability to make the transition from Scottish football to the English top flight,

it should be remembered that Toney was playing against Southend United, AFC Wimbledon, and Tranmere Rovers

as recently as 2020.
