Senior Rangers man tipped to join his formal club after falling out of favour under Phillippe Clement

Jose Cifuentes has finally been given the all-clear to make his debut for Cruzeiro following his loan move from Rangers, according to the Daily Record.

The newspaper announced on page 50 of its print edition on Friday (23 February)

that the Ecuadorian international has been cleared to face fellow Brazilian side

Pouso Allegre on Sunday (25 February) after his work visa issue was settled.

After a challenging first few months at Ibrox,

the 24-year-old midfielder has signed on loan with the South American club.
Jose Cifuentes is likely to never play for the Rangers again.

Cifuentes is unlikely to feature for Rangers again,

having failed to make an impression since coming from LAFC last summer.

The Gers went all out to sign the midfielder, spending an estimated £1.2 million to gain his talents just months before his contract with the MLS team expired.

However, after arriving at Ibrox in October,

Philippe Clement was unable to establish himself as a regular member of the team.

That resulted in his temporary relocation to Cruzeiro,

where he hopes to return to his best form once his work visa concerns are rectified.

The Light Blues will most likely hope that he has a good loan spell with the Brazilian club in order to secure a permanent move away from Ibrox in the future.

In other Rangers news, a Gers tandem has been selected to the

Team of the Week following their performances against St Johnstone.
