Rangers face point deductions, according to an official statement and a finance expert.

The Bears issued a statement before the game advising against pyrotechnics, which is on practically everyone’s mind in Scottish football and could have contributed to the freeze.

They warned spectators that possessing pyrotechnics in football grounds is banned and raised the possibility of

sports fines being imposed.

Sanctions vary, and Finance Expert Dan Plumley explained to Ibrox News what could happen to the club if they are prosecuted in the future.

“You would expect a similar narrative in Scotland to start taking place if these things continue because ultimately,

the only way you stop them is you hit the club where it hurts and that either means fines or point deductions,” he went on to say.

“So far, we’ve seen penalties, but you can see how the sanctions can escalate. If this trend continues,

I believe it will only be a matter of time until Scottish football imposes sanctions.

It appears that John Bennett and the club are attempting to convey a clear message to supporters, and this is the last thing they need at this time.

According to the Daily Record on Monday, December 4, Ibrox chiefs are fearful of Hampden managers,

and leniency may be out of the question.

This is something to keep an eye on, and someone will eventually have to be made an example of,

but Rangers will be hoping that their warning is heeded and that it is not them.

All eyes are on the club as it prepares for some big games this month.
