Forgotten Celtic signing set for Sunday return

Forgotten Celtic signing Brendan Rodgers revealed on Celtic Youtube that Odin Holm will return to the Celtic team on Sunday after missing time with an unidentified ailment.

Holm has missed a lot of football this season, either due to injury or not being selected.

From mid-October to late January, the midfielder did not appear in a single team.

He later made the bench but did not play in games against Ross County,

Aberdeen, or Hibs, before disappearing again.Brendan Rodgers said that the midfielder will be back in the squad and eligible for selection.

It’s unclear whether he’ll get any game time.Odin has made 12 appearances for Celtic this season and has been somewhat uninspiring, although he is young and has yet to have a meaningful chance in the club.

However, Celtic cannot afford to start players who need to get going at this level.

After dropping to second place on the table, every choice and point counts as the season comes to a finish.

The story to accompany the data is supplied by eltic PLC Chairman,

and Peter Lawwell goes into significant length about the club’s disappointments during the January transfer window,

which is unusual. Targets were unavailable because clubs would not sell,

and Lawwell reveals that substantial interest in many players (O’Riley, Abada, and possibly one or two others?) was turned down in each case.

From the Chairman’s Statement in the Celtic PLC Interim Report,

Peter Lawwell wrote:”In terms of funding, the cash and cash equivalents balance decreased from £72.3 million to £67.3 million throughout the review period.

A large chunk of this money will be used to build a new training facility at the Barrowfield site,

complete the Lennoxtown developments, and fund future stadium projects.

“The Board acknowledges the inherent inefficiencies of keeping surplus cash and,

in conjunction with other cash obligations, the significance of investing in team building to achieve football success.

The Board understands the supporters’ disappointment with the lack of activity during the last transfer window.
