Festy Ebosele is being pursued by Everton following former Goodison star Wayne Rooney’s “superstar” forecast.
According to HITC, Everton is among the teams vying for the signature of Festy Ebosele,
a star from Uganda, during the summer transfer window.
The newspaper revealed on its website on Friday, February 23rd,
that several English clubs have kept an eye on the 21-year-old this season. In addition to the Toffees, Southampton, West Ham United, Tottenham,
and Leeds United have also expressed interest in the player.
Ebosle, a right-back by trade,
had his breakthrough at Derby County under the tutelage of former Toffee Wayne Rooney.
Rooney was reported by Derbyshire Live (March 21, 2022) as saying:
“I said a few months ago he can be a superstar, he can be what he wants.” Ebosle has since shone at Serie A.
“He really needs to continue learning and growing in his ability to concentrate and focus.”
The current state of uncertainty around Goodison Park appears to have
the potential to obstruct the Toffees’ efforts to acquire Ebosele before their English rivals this summer.
The team led by Sean Dyche is still in the thick of a relegation battle and
may lose another point due to profit and sustainability charges.
They have no idea what league they will play in.
Furthermore, the Premier League has still not approved 777 Partners’ ownership of the team,
and
it doesn’t seem likely that Farhad Moshiri will increase the amount of money
the football team spends in order to buy a player of Ebosele’s caliber.
But a lot can happen before the season ends, and Everton might be able to make this kind of thrilling addition.
Ebosele would be the perfect addition to their team, which could need one or two more superstars.
