Patrick Casey, an Irish striker with good ratings, is supposedly being tracked by Celtic. The Ireland U19s star is now playing for

Charlton Athletic of EFL League One, but they might find it difficult to hang onto the striker

considering their fragile position at the bottom of the table.

According to Football Insider, Celtic are competing with Brighton and some Swiss sides for the signature of Casey. As he progresses

through the ranks at Charlton, Casey has shown that he is a clinical finisher,

netting 31 times this season for the youth team.

Brighton’s interest in Casey makes sense, especially in light of their achievements with Ivan Ferguson. Although Casey, who made his

Charlton debut this year, would not be a first team signing for Celtic, he would be a prospect for the future. Where he fits in with Celtic

B’s football team in the Lowland League is the problem. It’s not exactly a compelling choice. Having said that, Bosun Lawal’s

development after playing in the Lowland League and now starting for Fleetwood indicates that there is a route to the first team.

With No. 1 Joe Hart expected to retire, Celtics are already looking at a summertime reconstruction. The 36-year-old, who has settled

well at Celtic, is ending an extraordinary career. The 75-cap former England international

claimed that he went on a search throughout his tenure at Celtic and Man City.
