Moris had a terrible night at Ibrox and had to take painkillers the next day because it was so noisy.

Union SG goalkeeper Anthony Moris believes he’s never heard anything as loud as playing Rangers at Ibrox – and had to take medication to relieve his headache after their Europa League match.

 

Moris, an experienced Luxembourg international, was in goal in Glasgow two years ago when Gio van Bronckhorst’s Gers rallied from 2-0 down in the first leg to advance in the Champions League qualifiers. The 33-year-old,

who has 63 caps for his nation, has seen it all and hopes to lead the club to its first Belgian crown in 89 years after leading the league by eight points this season.

When questioned about the loudest atmosphere in his career, the 33-year-old did not hesitate to mention his journey to Ibrox. He stated, “For me, the best atmosphere I’ve ever experienced was the game against Rangers at Ibrox.

” I had to take paracetamol after the game since I had such a bad headache from the noise.

“It was the noisiest game I’ve ever played by far. Despite the fact that we lost, there is no doubt that this team learnt a lot from the game in Scotland.

“It prepared us for what we would face in places like Brugges, Antwerp, and Standard Liege, though nothing was as loud as that night in Glasgow.” That game provided us all with valuable experience.
