injury updates Another Hearts player sent to a specialist
Beni Baningime, a midfielder for Hearts, is fit to play on Saturday against Rangers after recovering from a bout of exhaustion against
Motherwell. He left the 2-0 victory at Tynecastle Park at halftime due to cramps, but this week he has been training at Riccarton.
Premiership leaders will be facing them at Ibrox, and Baningime is now expected to play. He has led Hearts to a recent run of
outstanding form and has started the team’s last seven games.
Craig Halkett, a defender, is expected to be out once more. He saw a specialist this week regarding a knee injury he suffered during the
Scottish Cup match against Airdrie earlier this month. As a precaution, he has not participated in first-team training sessions while the
medical staff awaits the specialist’s decision.
Peter Haring, a midfielder, is still not accessible. After getting hurt in the match against Livingston last month, he had an injection, but
the damage hasn’t healed. Hearts have now made the decision to refer him for additional testing to a specialist. In the hopes that
Haring can rejoin the team soon, they will watch to see how that appointment turns out.
After being out since late December, Winger Barrie McKay is expected to make a comeback to play next month as his knee injury is
improving. After hamstring tendon surgery, forward Liam Boyce is not anticipated to return until late March or early April. He is
currently using crutches.
