Two months after a critical victory in Spain, Rangers will shortly learn who they will face in the Europa League round of 16.

If Rangers finish first in their group, they will avoid fellow seeded sides such as Atalanta, Bayer Leverkusen, Brighton, Liverpool, Slavia Prague, Villarreal, and last season’s Europa Conference League winners West Ham – at least until the quarter-finals.

Rangers have a history of going deep into the competition and were only a penalty shootout away from winning the competition under former manager Giovanni Van Bronckhorst back in 2022.

But when is the Europa League round of 16 draw, and how can supporters watch it live?

This is all you need to know.

How To Watch The Europa League Draw

The Europa League round of 16 draw will be streamed live on the UEFA website.
How does the Europa League draw work?

The draw includes 16 teams. The eight Europa League group stage winners are seeded and will meet the knockout round play-off winners, who will be announced on February 22.

The knockout round play-offs feature a mix of Europa League group stage runners-up and teams that placed third in their Europa League group, including AC Milan, Galatasaray, Benfica, and others.

Rangers are the only Scottish team left in the competition, however teams from the same league cannot play each other at this round.
When is the Europa League round of sixteen?

The Europa League’s first legs are slated for March 7, with the second legs following a week later on March 14.

Rangers will have only three days of rest before their Scottish Cup quarter-final against Hibs, as well as three days off before their Premiership match against Dundee later in the month.

Ties are decided over two legs, with the group winners returning home in the second leg. Ties that remain level after 180 minutes will be decided in extra time, regardless of how many goals each team has scored at home or away. If the teams are still unable to separate after an additional 30 minutes, the tie will be decided by penalty shootout.
