Rangers starlet reportedly has a six-figure transfer fee ready to be paid to Premier League powerhouse Arsenal.

According to reports, Mikel Arteta’s team is eager to sign Ibrox young player Alexander Smith.

The Premier League team has been watching the Scotland under-16 player, who has also played youth international football for the

USA, for a considerable amount of time.

Additionally, according to The Scottish Sun, Arsenal is willing to pay a six-figure sum of compensation to sign Smith.

Smith first gained notice in April of last year during the East Mallorca Cup, where he led the Rangers young team to four man-of-the-

match victories in five games.

It’s currently believed that Arsenal and Rangers will speak about a possible transfer for Smith.

It follows Chelsea’s earlier early selection of Billy Gilmour from the Ibrox academy.

Additionally, Rory Wilson left Rangers’ youth team to join Aston Villa after making an impression in Scotland.
