Rangers may stand to gain a seven-figure sum from Malik Tillman as PSV gets closer to extending his Dutch stay.

The playmaker made a splash last year when on loan from Bayern Munich to Ibrox. Rangers had the option to buy, and under former

manager Michael Beale, they were ready to do so. By agreeing to 10% of any future sales and paying

an upfront price of £1 million, the German titans managed to get out of that.

The American foreigner has now made an impression in the Eridivise. This week, in the Champions League round of 16, he also played

a role in PSV’s 1-1 draw with Borussia Dortmund.

Rangers had the option to sign the playmaker for £5 million in the summer of 2023, but Bayern Munich bought it off and did a deal with PSV instead.

Now it is claimed the Dutch side will pay in the region of £12m to keep him for the long haul. And that will bank Rangers a cool £1.2m

extra on top of the seven figures already earned from Tillman.

“Playing time or prospects always come first for me,” he stated. After playing for the Rangers last season, I hope to reflect on the

second season next summer, when I consistently performed at a high level.

That’s how I want things stay for now. It’s a pretty nice vibe. As a team, we have gotten incredibly close. Both the personnel and the

manager are having fun. We’re just football players, that much is evident.

We also play really attractively, in my opinion. We attempt to adhere to Peter Bosz’s exact idea.

With or without the ball, it’s all about intensity.”
