Rangers ‘ not good a team ‘,say Celtic  hero , Believe Celtic will WIN League

Celtic’s 1-1 draw at home to Kilmarnock on Saturday left the door open for Rangers to take command at the top

Rangers soared to the top of the Scottish Premiership with a 3-0 victory over St Johnstone at McDiarmid Park,

thanks to skipper James Tavernier scoring two late penalties.

Celtic had been leading the table in goals scored, but their 1-1 draw at home to Kilmarnock on Saturday opened the way for Rangers to take the lead for the first time since February 2022.Mohamed Diomande,

an Ivorian midfielder, brightened a dreary first half in the 37th minute by firing in from 25 yards for his first Rangers goal since joining in the winter transfer window. Tavernier then scored penalties after 79 and 87 minutes,

both after VAR intervention, bringing his season tally to 19.

With 12 fixtures remaining, Philippe Clement‘s team is two points ahead of their Old Firm opponents and will take the momentum of nine

consecutive wins into next week’s game against third-placed Hearts atRangers fans travelled in high spirits for the midday kick-off,

and they noticed that Clement had made several changes, primarily in attack, with Borna Barisic, Oscar Cortes,

Scott Wright, Diomande, and Fabio Silva returning.

Dan Phillips returned from injury for Craig Levein’s tenth-placed team, as did Connor Smith and Ryan McGowan.A bad surface was always going to make passing football tough, and the ball spent a lot of time in the air during a rough opening to the game.

Rangers had 43 attempts on goal in midweek’s 3-1 win against Ross County, 23 of which were on target,

but had yet to worry Saints goalie Dimitar Mitov until Diomande stepped up to break the deadlock.

Another Rangers attempt appeared to have broken down on the edge of the box, with McGowan nicking the ball away from Silva.
