According to Dr. Rajpal Brar, Rangers offensive midfielder Todd Cantwell will be out for weeks or months due to a hamstring injury.

The injury expert had seen him come off in the 3-0 victory over St Johnstone on Sunday, February 18.

Before coming off, he spoke with Philippe Clement, and Sky Sports provided footage of him possibly nursing a hamstring issue.

Brar, a doctor of physical therapy and a sports scientist, spoke exclusively with Ibrox News about his condition.

“He was spotted gripping his hamstring before strapping it on later.

“There were even discussions with the management before he came off.

“While this is not a good omen, it is difficult to predict the severity,

and the best case scenario is a Grade 1 injury, which lasts from one day to ten days.

“On the other hand, the worst case is a Grade 3 which is over three months.”

Rangers face an anxious wait for Todd Cantwell’s fitness.

Cantwell has been one of Clement’s most valuable players this season.

He’s the one who brings everything together in the final third, and he was energetic even against St Johnstone, when Fabio Silva and Scott Wright struggled.

Hopefully, it’s not as awful as him being out for months, and he’ll be able to return to action sooner than later.
