Mock draft predicts Denver Broncos to select Spencer Rattler in later rounds

According to Broncos Wire’s Jon Heath, Curt Popejoy of Draft Wire predicts the Broncos to take a

swing at South Carolina QB Spencer Rattler in the third round.

Spencer Rattler will be selected by the Denver Broncos in later rounds, according to the mock draft.

Curt Popejoy of Draft Wire projects the Broncos to take a shot at South Carolina quarterback

Spencer Rattler in the third round, according to Broncos Wire’s Jon Heath.

Dallas Turner, an Alabama pass rusher, is projected by Popejoy to be the Broncos’ first-round selection.

Denver’s second-round pick was sent to the New Orleans Saints as part of last year’s Sean Payton trade,

thus the team will have to wait until the third round to reopen.

Spencer Rattler, a quarterback from South Carolina, is selected by the Broncos in the third round.

Between the Turner (No. 12) and Rattler (No. 76) picks, four further quarterbacks are selected:

Michael Penix (No. 39), Bo Nix (No. 42), J.J. McCarthy (No. 43), and Michael Pratt (No. 74).

Rattler, who gained notoriety as one of the stars of QB1: Beyond the Lights Season 3,

concluded his college career with the Gamecocks with a strong year.

In 12 starts, he has 3186 passing yards, 19 touchdowns, 8 interceptions, and a 147.7 passer rating.

If Payton does select him as the best QB remaining in the draft, he’ll have to understand that he’ll be

coming in as a project QB and will not have the best of starts to his career.

However, great things are in store for him if he manages to mesh well with his teammates and coach.
