McCormack, who was Elland Road’s head marksman, will now work in the Premier Division North of the Central Midlands League. With Doncaster City, a football team founded in 2022 by football agent Willie McKay, he has reached an agreement.

The former Scotland international will be with Doncaster City “for a short period,” the club said on social media platform X, which was formerly Twitter.

Following McCormack’s time at Liversedge as a football player and director of football, the change was made. Liversedge said things had “not worked out” last month, confirming his departure.

“We can confirm that Ross McCormack has left Liversedge FC by mutual consent,” said a statement posted on X. We wish Ross the best of luck in the future and appreciate his time with us, even though it hasn’t worked out for either of them. There will be no further remarks made.

Shortly after announcing the signing of Charlie Mulgrew, a former Celtic and Blackburn Rovers defender, Doncaster City introduced McCormack.

McCormack, who is currently 37 years old, spent his four years at Elland Road as a fan favorite. Before leaving for Fulham in 2014, he made 157 appearances for the Whites and scored 58 goals.

Among his other notable teams are Nottingham Forest, Aston Villa, and Cardiff City.
