Man Utd have accept €60m teenage sensation a summer priority, he turned down PSG last month – report
According to Spanish publication AS, Manchester United has recently shown interest in hiring Lille center-back Leny Yoro.
After being linked to the 18-year-old in December, the Red Devils have made it their top priority to sign him when the summer transfer market opens,
but they are not the only team watching him closely.
Yoro turned down Paris Saint-Germain’s attempt to sign him during the January transfer window because he preferred
to play for Lille until the end of the current season before deciding on his future.
Real Madrid is also a fan of the France youth international, but in order to have a chance of convincing the Ligue 1 club to trade with them,
potential bidders may have to fork over about €60 million.
Lille are aware they cannot hold on to Yoro for much longer, and it is becoming highly unlikely that he will sign a contract extension.
With his current deal expiring in 2025, this summer represents their best chance to sign him,
and Man United are expected to launch a concrete bid for his services.
The Red Devils could be without Raphael Varane and Jonny Evans next term as their contracts expire at the end of the season,
while both Harry Maguire and Lisandro Martinez have struggled with injuries this season.
Yoro is a suitable replacement for Man United’s center defender, who has to be strengthened this summer.
The teenager, who has scored two goals in 24 appearances in all competitions this season,
is considered one of the best young players in the French top division.
He is comfortable on the ball and stands at 6ft 3in, and Man United should look to complete a deal for a
player with the potential to become one of the best defenders in the world.
